Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our handcrafted English pottery.

Where is Burleigh pottery made?

Every piece of Burleigh is handcrafted at the Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England, using traditional techniques that have been in place since 1851.

Is your pottery dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes, our high-quality earthenware is designed for modern living and is safe for use in both the dishwasher and microwave. We recommend using low temperatures and liquid detergents to maintain the glaze.

What is the 'Tissue Transfer' printing method?

Burleigh is the last pottery in the world to practice tissue transfer printing. This skilled process involves hand-applying patterns from engraved copper rollers onto the ware using fine tissue paper, ensuring each piece is unique.

Do you ship internationally?

We offer worldwide shipping to most countries. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination and will be calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy for any unused items in their original packaging. If your pottery arrives damaged, please contact our customer service team immediately with photos for a replacement.

How can I tell if my Burleigh is authentic?

All genuine Burleigh pieces feature our distinct backstamp on the base, which includes the pattern name and our 'Made in England' mark of quality.
